In today's world, countless individuals grapple with the struggle of truly embracing their authentic selves. Instead, many adopt a version of themselves they believe will be more acceptable. The identity crisis has become a pervasive issue in contemporary society, yet there remains little targeted effort to address this problem. People often question their innate qualities, pondering whether they could be better versions of themselves. For example, some may struggle to accept their genuine gender, physical appearance, voice, or even natural talents.
The reality is that none of us had any control over the circumstances of our birth or unique characteristics. In recognizing this fact, we can appreciate that our natural traits exist for a reason – a reason determined by a higher power or force that knows what is best for us. Each aspect of our lives – our body, shape, voice, height, race – is purposeful and part of fulfilling a greater destiny.
By acknowledging this truth and the guiding hand behind it all, we can learn to appreciate and cherish our authentic selves. Our existence is no accident; each one of us has a unique role to play in this world. So let's embrace our inherent gifts and strive to create an even more meaningful life experience.
But who are you, a human being, to talk
back to God? Shall what is formed say to who formed it, why did you make me
like this? Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of
clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use? (Romans 9:20 - 21)
The One who created you, regardless of your appearance and any self-doubt you may hold, has a purpose for your existence. The Master Potter (God) is wise and any changes to His design could potentially lead you away from your intended path. Embrace the intricacies of your unique makeup, for the Creator knew what He was doing.
