Treasure Land

There was a family land in the village. A land that had been passed down through generations. This land was only used for agricultural purposes and was commonly referred to as a farmland. That is all it had been known for.

However, a few years ago, a mining company, utilizing their mineral detection technology, discovered that the land contained gold. The company approached the family and made an attractive offer to gain access to the land for mining purposes. The family ultimately accepted the offer and sold the land to the mining company.

Human life is like a land. Some people see it as a bare land as it appears. However, it is not barren. It is enriched with more only known to the few who are willing to search for the treasures contained in the land.

You only experience and benefit from what you do with your life. If you see your life as an infertile land that cannot bring forth anything, it will forever remain like that. One's life is only as fruitful as the effort put into it. If you perceive your life as unproductive, you may overlook the potential for growth and development. Many people in the world today view life as meaningless, unaware of their true potential and the hidden treasures within the land called life.

You may as well allow just anything to grow on the land and that would forever be the results you will see. Alternatively, you may limit yourself to a particular belief and conclude that your life is only capable of producing a certain outcome. However, this is not the absolute truth. Life is more than what you perceive it to be. Life is meant to be more.

Similar to the mining company, it is imperative that you intentionally and consistently explore your life to gain a deeper understanding of it. When you do this, you will successfully discover something other than what you have always known and believed.

You must know yourself. Understand yourself! It is important to prioritize self-awareness and employ effective methods to uncover these discoveries.

Once a discovery has been made, it is essential to verify its authenticity and carefully utilize the newfound treasure, or natural ability. This is akin to the process of mining, where the goal is to extract and bring forth what has been discovered.

After the treasure has been ascertained, it must be refined to enhance its value and appeal to others. In its raw state, the treasure may only be of interest to the individual who discovered it. The treasure is not meant to meet just your needs. The newly identified ability won't impress anyone until you refine it. It will only do so after you have added value to it. However, refining the treasure (ability) to remove any impurities or limitations will increase its appeal and create demand. To refine, the Perfect Dictionary defines it as, removing impurities and unwanted elements. Your newly discovered ability still needs to be worked on. It will have some dirt (limitations) that would not be needed. Refine the ability (potential) to meet the needs of others.

This is why mining companies do not keep the discovered and mined minerals to themselves. Instead, they invest in refining them. Refined treasure creates demand. Everyone including yourself is smote by beauty and elegance. You will be sought after when your ability has been improved to meet the needs of people.

After gold has been refined into gold bars, they are exported to locations that are in high demand for them in exchange for a reward (money) for the value added. People are willing to reward and pay you for the service or solution you provide with your ability irrespective of the price you place on it. Be about serving the world with your refined ability. This is what success is all about. It is achieved by utilizing one's refined ability to serve others and add value to their lives.

When this happens, life shall no longer be perceived as meaningless or purposeless. Instead, life shall be regarded as a land brimming with numerous possibilities and riches.

Your life is a land loaded with a lot of treasures. It is your sole responsibility to search and discover these treasures. It is the greatest task and in fact, the most pressing need of your existence. Time has been given for that. Unfortunately, you don’t know how much time you are left with. Only God knows. Psalm 139:16 …In your book all my days were recorded, even those which were purposed before they had come into being.

Commence the search right away if you haven’t. Otherwise, you shall squander the land. You shall depart from this world with all your riches and treasures (potential, abilities, skills, talents, etc.) undiscovered.

God does not desire for you to exit this world without discovering the treasures that He has concealed within you. He has hidden them within you for a reason. It is crucial that you do not disappoint God.
